dear WaPo

dear washington post,

i want a description like this ..

"The airstrike killed two other men, two women and girl between the ages of 5 and 7 who were in the house.

"AP footage of the scene showed a wide swath of destruction.

“Debris _ shoes, sandals, a woman’s slip _ was scattered over concrete blocks and twisted metal. Trees were ripped from their roots. Charred dresses, torn blankets, thin sponge mattresses and pillows were in the crater blasted by the bombs. A cooling unit and part of a washing machine also were in the area.”

.. every time iraqi or palestenian militants set off an ied, fire a rocket into israel, do any headchopping, or make an insane suicide run into a schoolbus. you seem fully content to give detailed descriptions and ages of children when we’re doing the killing (five casualties), fully content to generate sympathy for our enemies, but when it’s our allies, or random people that get killed, we get this (50 casualties):

“Two separate bombings killed at least nine people in downtown Baghdad and wounded more than 40, after the government lifted a daytime traffic ban it imposed on Friday amid fears of al Qaeda reprisals for the Zarqawi killing.”

twice the words, for 1/10 the number of casualties. could you at least pretend to be journalists, and not the propaganda press for islam?

thank you.

“i’ve already found someone i want to spend the rest of my life with ..” she trailed off, uncertain.

“really? let me ask you: when’s the last time you met someone unlike anyone else you’ve ever known?”

“i guess just a few minutes ago.”

i smiled. “you shouldn’t pick the person you want to stick with until that hasn’t happened for a while.”
